A construction oriented company, Boston Sand & Gravel produces and distributes ready mix concrete,

sand, gravel and stone from 9 active facilities in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Boston Sand &

Gravel is seeking an Inside Sales Coordinator based at our corporate office in Boston.


Inside Sales Coordinator is responsible for sales support and assisting marketing efforts of

the sales team. The Inside Sales Coordinator has excellent organizational, analytical and communicative

skills, together with an ability to deliver a high level of customer service. The Inside Sales Coordinator is

responsible for providing professional pre and post-sales support and coordination for the sales

representatives and the senior department management.



 Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate quotations for sales, while consistently updating customer database to ensure accurate billing

  • Assist in review of purchase orders for correct pricing, terms and conditions

  • Learn technical aspects of concrete and how to price products appropriately

  • Qualify and accept project leads, prospect new customer opportunities

  • Collaborate with Billing and A/R departments to insure prompt, accurate responses to customer requests, while maintaining ownership of the response

  • Responsible for monitoring and tracking sales opportunities while maintaining the CRM database with accurate information for projects and customers in order to generate reports for the sales team and upper level management

  • Assist in management of the entire sales process from the initial call to finalization of a project

  • Gather project information for sales by reviewing project drawings and specifications for quality control team

  • Gather project information required for accurate billing and A/R in regards to tax status, prevailing wage, and certificates of insurance.

  • Provide administrative support for our Environmental Health & Safety department in regards to DOT recordkeeping

Requirements:

  • Team player with excellent polite and persuasive communication skills

  • Inside sales and administrative experience

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work well in a team environment

  • Strong analytical, organizational and leadership skills

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel

  • BA with 3-5 years relevant work experience
